How to make it

  • Slice a loaf of french bread in half lengthwise.
  • Spread with a layer of light garlic butter on both halves of loaf.
  • Next spread some mayo on both halves.
  • Slice an onion thinly and lay all the way down the loaf.
  • Place sliced cheese all the way down the loaf.
  • Finally, slice the spam ¼" - ½" thick and lay it all the way down the loaf of bread.

I'm a real spam lover and this sounds so good that I think i'm going to make it this weekend! Try this-cook up some elbow macaroni and add some crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce and serve over the pan fried spam.

Oh my husband would love you...he can't understand why Spam gets such a "bad wrap". I will have to tell him I found a new way to serve him is Spam other than on a fried egg sandwich! We actually visited the Spam Museum in Austin, MN - it was surprisingly very interesting...stop by if you're ever in that area.
