Ingredients
  • 2 cups dried apricots
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 3/4 to 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp Nigella seeds(kalonji)
  • 1/4 tsp Carom seeds(ajwaiin)
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds(zeera)
  • 3 tbsp vinegar

Directions
  1. Place the apricots and the water in a saucepan.
  2. Simmer until tender (about 10-15minutes) then blend to a smooth
  3. consitency.
  4. In the same pan,place the blended apricots.Add vinegar,sugar,chilli
  5. powder and salt.
  6. Heat gently , stirring , until the sugar has dissolved.
  7. Then simmer gently for about 5 minutes to the desired thickness.
  8. Allow to cool and bottle in airtight jars.
