Self Glazing Meat Loaf

- 1 cup V8 shopping list
- 3 slices bread shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tp pepper shopping list
- 1 tbsp minced onion shopping list
- 1 pound ground chuck shopping list
- 1/2 pound ham a veal shopping list
- 4 tbsp brown sugar shopping list
- 4 tsp cider vinegar shopping list
- 1/4 tsp dry mustard shopping list
- 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 tbsp water shopping list
How to make it
- Put V8 juice into a small saucepan and heat thoroughly. Place the bread, well broken up, into a mixing bowl. Pour the V8 over it. With beaters of your mixer at low speed, beat until te bread and juce are thoroughly mixd and cooled. Then turn your mixer to its highest speed and add eggs, one at a time. Add salt, pepper and onion.
- Now sti in the ground meat by hand. Be sure that all is thoroughly mixed. Mix th sugar, vinegar, dy mustard, worcestershire sauce and water together. Pour this into he bottom of a loaf pan. Form the meat ixture into a loaf and place in the pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour.
- At the end of this time, invert the loaf on an ovenporrf platter and continut to bake for 30 minutes longer. The glaze which was at the bottom of the loaf will now glaze the top.
