Fish Filets With Bacon And Horseradish

- 8 firm flesh white fish filets (cod, haddock, pollock, catfish) shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1/4 cup sweet onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 1/4 cup dry white wine shopping list
- 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish shopping list
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper shopping list
- 4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled shopping list
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced shopping list
How to make it
- Rinse fish filets and pat dry. Arrange in large baking dish in a single layer.
- In small skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add onion and saute until softened.
- Combine cream cheese, wine, horseradish, mustard, salt and pepper. Stir into onion in skillet.
- Pour mixture over fish. Top with crumbled bacon.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until fish flakes easily.
- Garnish with parsley.
- I like to serve the filets on a bed of sauteed fresh spinach.

This looks like a great recipe! Thanks for sharing it. I am always looking for different ways to prepare fish since we have it in abundance here...yeah, I am so fortunate that way. I can see adding a crab mixture to this too! Mmmmm
