How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 425°
  • Combine flour, salt and pepper.
  • Dip chicken into 1/2 cup buttermilk.
  • Roll in flour, salt and pepper mixture.
  • Melt butter in a baking pan, put chicken in pan.
  • Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
  • Turn and bake 15 minutes more.
  • Turn breasts again.
  • Pour 1 cup buttermilk and cream of chicken OR mushroom soup mixed together over chicken.
  • Bake 15 minutes more.

    rarariver ate it and said...
    It was a bit plain, but still alright. (I used cream of chicken instead of cream of mushroom... that might have been why.) A good accompaniment to mashed potatoes and biscuits.
