BUTTERMILK CHICKEN

- 4 chicken breasts shopping list
- 1 1/2 C. buttermilk, divided shopping list
- 3/4 C. flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. pepper shopping list
- 1/4 C. butter shopping list
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup OR Cream of chicken shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 425°
- Combine flour, salt and pepper.
- Dip chicken into 1/2 cup buttermilk.
- Roll in flour, salt and pepper mixture.
- Melt butter in a baking pan, put chicken in pan.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
- Turn and bake 15 minutes more.
- Turn breasts again.
- Pour 1 cup buttermilk and cream of chicken OR mushroom soup mixed together over chicken.
- Bake 15 minutes more.

It was a bit plain, but still alright. (I used cream of chicken instead of cream of mushroom... that might have been why.) A good accompaniment to mashed potatoes and biscuits.
