- one can of chilli shopping list
- 6 chicken breasts skillet fried the night before and no bones. shopping list
- one loaf of French bread left over from last night s supper thats allready been toasted shopping list
- any cheese you got -for grating shopping list
- one cookie sheet shopping list
- one big piece of tin foil shopping list
How to make it
- cover cookie sheet with tin foil
- slice the french bread in one inch strips-
- bread is not placed end to end, but side to side
- place on cookie sheet like you'd lay out dominoes
- slice chicken breast into one inch strips (thick)
- set one slice of chicken between each slice of bread
- from one end of of cookie sheet to the other- bread -chicken -bread -chicken and so on
- scoop the chilli from can and "chink" the chilli in between the bread and chicken( fill the little gap)
- bread -chilli- chicken- bread -chilli -chicken- to the end of the cookie sheet
- this chicken and bread was pre cooked( important)
- then set this under the brolier in your oven -
- keep the door open so you can watch
- dont get this too close to the broiler.
- when the chille starts to bubble and the chicken shines up, take it out
- now grate the cheese over the entire cookie sheet
- put back under broiler until the cheese melts and melds
- this is served using a plastic pancake spatula
