Arkansas Millionaires Recipe
Arkansas's version of one of the best candies ever made....so rich and good.... my cousin makes these and gives them away in her Christmas baskets....They are wonderful.....

Ingredients
  • 1 pkg kraft caramels
  • 2 cups broken pecans
  • 1/2 block paraffin
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 large package of milk chocolate chips

Directions
  1. Melt caramels and milk in top of double boiler
  2. Beat for 3 minutes
  3. Add pecans and drop on buttered platter or waxed paper
  4. Melt choc chips and paraffin or even a little less paraffin
  5. Dip caramel nut drops in mixture and cool on wax paper

These sound fantastic but I have never used parrafin wax. I also don't have a double boiler. I think my sister does so maybe she will let me borrow hers.

Paraffin is easy to use...and it really helps to make the chocolate harden...have you ever had Martha Washington candy... you use paraffin in it too...I hope you will try these Gem...

I am SO excited about trying this one--I am a chocolate lover at heart and caramels too---yumm


I have asked you about these before but haven't tried them yet. Do you think I could use almond bark instead of parrafin wax?

Can also use the big blocks of chocalate like butterscotch, vanilla ect. from walmart.
