Kraut Stew

- 2 T. butter shopping list
- 1 lb beef, cubed shopping list
- 1 lb pork, cubed shopping list
- 2 large onions, cut in chunks shopping list
- 1 tsp fresh ground black pepper shopping list
- 2 T. sweet paprika shopping list
- 3 lb sauerkraut shopping list
- 1 lb. small mushrooms shopping list
- 1 lb carrots, cut in 1” pieces shopping list
- 1 T. dark brown sugar shopping list
- 1 T. caraway seeds shopping list
- 2 C. beef broth shopping list
- 2-12 oz. can beer shopping list
- 1 pint sour cream shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- Chopped parsley shopping list
How to make it
- In large pot add butter and brown meat. When brown add onion and cook till tender.
- Add all ingredients but, parsley and sour cream.
- Heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 ½ hours.
- Stir in the sour cream, check seasonings. Sprinkle with parsley.
- Serve with biscuits.
