- 5 lbs.yellow onions(golfball size) shopping list
- pickling spices (any brand) shopping list
- white vinegar shopping list
How to make it
- peel and rince(under cold running water) and fill 2 (1 qt.) jsterilized jars with onions as full as possible
- add 2 TBS. spices and fill jars with vinegar,seal tightly and shake to mix spices and vinegar
- do not refrigerate,but let stand in room temp. for 7-10 days
- after 10 days, refrigerate to stop pickling process- will last 4 months or more
- liquid might become cloudy,don't worry,onions are fine.
- serve as a side or use in recipes
