Broken Lasagna With Tahini Sage And Asiago Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 cups (960 ml) water (it DOES have to be exact)
  • 8 oz dried lasagna noodles (about 10), each broken into 3 or 4 pieces
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) sesame tahini
  • 3/4 cup (185 ml) milk
  • 1 TBSP (15 ml) extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 TBSP (15 ml) minced fresh garlic
  • 10 sage leaves, torn into small pieces
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 TBSPS (30 ml) grated Asiago cheese, or more to taste (Can substitute Parmesan or Romano, but the Asiago works best)

Directions
  1. Heat the water in a large covered skillet to a boil. (The cover is important here.)
  2. Just as the water is boiling, add the noodles and stir, then cover and cook until tender, about 12 minutes. Stir often so the noodles don't stick. There should be about 1 cup (250 ml) of water left in the pan.
  3. Stir in the tahini, milk, oil, garlic, sage, and plenty of salt and pepper until a smooth sauce forms. Add more water if needed to make a sauce the consistency of cream.
  4. Stir in the Asiago cheese and serve.
