Maple Oatmeal Scones

- 31/2c. AP flour shopping list
- 1c.WW flour shopping list
- 1c. quick cooking oats shopping list
- 2T. baking powder shopping list
- 2T. sugar shopping list
- 2t. salt shopping list
- 1 pound cold unsalted butter diced shopping list
- 1/2c. cold buttermilk shopping list
- 1/2c. maple syrup shopping list
- 4 extra large eggs lightly beaten shopping list
- 1egg beaten with 1T. water for egg wash shopping list
- glaze shopping list
- 11/4c. confectioners sugar shopping list
- 1/2c. maple syrup shopping list
- 1t. vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400
- In mixing bowl combine flour, oats, baking powder, sugar, and salt
- Blend the butter in at lowest speed until it is in pea sized pieces
- In a bowl combine buttermilk, eggs and maple syrup
- Add quickly to flour mixture
- Mix till just blended
- Dump onto floured surface
- Roll the dough 1in. thick, you should see lumps of butter in the dough
- Cut in 3in. rounds
- Brush with egg wash
- Bake 25 min.
- Mix glaze ingredients
- When scones are cool drizzle with glaze
