Ingredients
- 1 Can (14 1/2 oz) Tomatoes,crushed with liquid
- 1/2 Teaspoon baking soda-needed to keep milk from curdling-
- 1/4 Teaspoon garlic salt -or -less
- 2 Cups whole milk
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- Pepper to taste
Directions
- Heat tomatoes until boiling in heavy sauce pan.
- Remove from heat
- Add baking soda,stir
- Return to stove and over medium heat
- Add the garlic salt,pepper,milk,butter
- Heat through-Do Not Boil-
- Enjoy

My great Aunt use to make tomato soup like this..she would use home canned tomatoes.. but I remember how wonderful that tasted on a cold afternoon with some homemade bread.. yummmmm
