How to make it

  • In a medium pot, mix vinegar, sugar, ketchup and soy sauce together; bring to a low boil.
  • In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water, then gently stir into the boiling pot.
  • Cook and stir until thickened.
  • Makes 3 cups.
  • TIP: This doesn't freeze as perfectly as some dishes, because of the cornstarch. It tastes the same, but looks separated and rather glumpy (I have no other word to use to describe it). If you don't mind how it looks, it can be frozen, it just won't be as attractive looking is all.

    I make a recipe similar to this. Try switching the measurements for the vinegar and the ketchup. That should work!

    OMG! This is disgusting,almost choked to death no exaggeration,far to much vinegar,wish I had read the comments first, Just horrible.ZERO STARS!!! :(

    ruined whole meal, there is NO way its 2 c vinegar so until that is fixed its was horrible
