How to make it
- In a medium pot, mix vinegar, sugar, ketchup and soy sauce together; bring to a low boil.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water, then gently stir into the boiling pot.
- Cook and stir until thickened.
- Makes 3 cups.
- TIP: This doesn't freeze as perfectly as some dishes, because of the cornstarch. It tastes the same, but looks separated and rather glumpy (I have no other word to use to describe it). If you don't mind how it looks, it can be frozen, it just won't be as attractive looking is all.
