Fran S Sour Cream Coffee Cake Recipe

How to make it

  • Cream butter & spry (or oil) and add sugar, a little at a time.
  • cream well.
  • add 2 eggs (beaten)
  • then add sour cream, milk, vanilla and almond extract.
  • add flour, salt baking powder and baking soda (sifted together four times - important!)
  • beat batter well
  • grease pan well,
  • add 1/2 of batter
  • then chooped nuts mixture, reerving some for top of cake
  • add remaining batter
  • sprinkle remaining nut mix on top
  • bake , cool and remove from pan
