Beef Rezone In The Crock Pot Recipe
BEEF REZONE IN THE CROCK POT This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Carmichael Estate in Richardson Texas in 1982.

Ingredients
  • 4 pound boneless beef roast
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 large white onion sliced
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 4 large garlic cloves thinly sliced
  • Gravy:
  • 1 package Italian dressing mix
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Directions
  1. Place beef in crock pot.
  2. Cover with vinegar, Worcestershire, onion slices, oregano and garlic.
  3. Cook on low for 8 hours then remove beef from liquid and chill thoroughly.
  4. Discard all liquid in crock pot.
  5. Slice cooled beef thinly across grain.
  6. To prepare gravy thin cornstarch in 1/4 cup water.
  7. Heat broth mixed with Italian dressing packet to a soft boil.
  8. Add cornstarch mixture and stir constantly until slightly thickened.
  9. Add additional water if necessary and bring to a full boil.
  10. Add beef slices and simmer until heated.
