How to make it

  • Dry chicken with paper towels.
  • Mix flour with salt and pepper.
  • Dredge the chicken in the flour until evenly coated.
  • Brown in hot oil in deep fat fry pan.
  • Remove from pan.
  • Add onions and cook until soft in the remaining fat in the pan..
  • Add remaining ingredients and cover.
  • Simmer 10 minutes
  • Add browned chicken back into the prepared sauce and cook until chicken is tender (about 40 minutes more) turning the pieces occasionally.
