Semi-homeade Stroganoff Recipe

Semi-homeade Stroganoff Recipe
I actually was making beef stew and just ended up making this. It's got a yummy meaty flavor, with a touch of sweetness from the sour cream.

Ingredients
  • 1-2 lbs beef tips
  • 1 pkg beefy onion soup
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp onion
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 pkg egg noodles

Directions
  1. Season meat in lg saucepan over med-hi heat with salt, pepper, onion, garlic, and paprika.
  2. Cook until browned and then add beefy onion soup, flour, milk, and water.
  3. Stir until well blended and coming to a boil. Will be a little thin, add one more tablespoon of flour if you'd like it thicker.
  4. Now it can cook until the meat is done, basically 20-30 minutes...or you can cover it and let it cook a couple hours so the meat is really tender and yummy!
  5. When your meat is at desired tenderness, bring a lg pot of water to a boil and cook noodles per the directions.
  6. While the noodles are cooking, add the sour cream to the meat and mix well.
  7. Drain noodles, scoop on plate and cover with saucy meaty mix and boom, goodness! Serves well with french bread and green beans!

Ok the cook time and servings of course aren't that big. It's 4-6 servings as some people eat more then others. And the cook time is based on a quick one 20-45 minutes or letting it cook a couple hours to make the meat really tender.
