Ingredients

Cake:

1c maple syrup

1c reduced-fat sour cream

1/4c butter,melted

1tsp vanilla extrac

1 lg. egg

21/2c flour

1tsp baking soda

1/4c chopped pecans,toasted

1/2tsp salt

cooking spray

Frosting;

11/2c powdered sugar

21/2tsp maple syrup

1Tbs whipping cream

1/8tsp salt

1/4cchopped pecans,toasted

Preheat oven to 350. To prepare cake, combine first 5 ingredients,stirring well with a whisk

Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups;level with a knife. Combine flour,baking soda,1/4c pecans and 1/2 tsp salt in a large bow,stirring with a whisk

Add syrup mixture to flour mixture;stir until well blended. Pour batter into 9" square baking pan coated with cooking spray.

Bake at 350 for for 30 mins or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely on wire rack

To prepare frosting:

Combine sugar,21/2Tbs syrup,cream and 1/8tsp. salt. Beat with a mixer at medium speed until smooth. Spread frosting evenly over cooled cake;sprinkle with 1/4c pecans.
