Maple-pecan Snack Cake

- Cake: shopping list
- 1c maple syrup shopping list
- 1c reduced-fat sour cream shopping list
- 1/4c butter,melted shopping list
- 1tsp vanilla extrac shopping list
- 1 lg. egg shopping list
- 21/2c flour shopping list
- 1tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/4c chopped pecans,toasted shopping list
- 1/2tsp salt shopping list
- cooking spray shopping list
- Frosting; shopping list
- 11/2c powdered sugar shopping list
- 21/2tsp maple syrup shopping list
- 1Tbs whipping cream shopping list
- 1/8tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4cchopped pecans,toasted shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350. To prepare cake, combine first 5 ingredients,stirring well with a whisk
- Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups;level with a knife. Combine flour,baking soda,1/4c pecans and 1/2 tsp salt in a large bow,stirring with a whisk
- Add syrup mixture to flour mixture;stir until well blended. Pour batter into 9" square baking pan coated with cooking spray.
- Bake at 350 for for 30 mins or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely on wire rack
- To prepare frosting:
- Combine sugar,21/2Tbs syrup,cream and 1/8tsp. salt. Beat with a mixer at medium speed until smooth. Spread frosting evenly over cooled cake;sprinkle with 1/4c pecans.
