How to make it

  • Peel and core apples and cut into cubes. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Combine all ingredients and cook until apples are soft, but not mushy. Stir slowly, but nearly constantly. Spoon over vanilla ice cream. Can be made ahead and reheated in microwave.
