Ingredients

5 Granny Smith Apples, peeled and cubed

1 cup sugar

1 cup brown sugar

1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp nutmeg

1 1/2 cups apple juice

1 tbs lemon juice

Directions

Peel and core apples and cut into cubes. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Combine all ingredients and cook until apples are soft, but not mushy. Stir slowly, but nearly constantly. Spoon over vanilla ice cream. Can be made ahead and reheated in microwave.
