Almond Fudge Pie

- 1 cup slivered almonds shopping list
- 4 oz German sweet chocolate block shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten shopping list
- 1 cup dark corn syrup shopping list
- 1/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 cup chopped dates shopping list
- 1 prepared deep dish pie shell shopping list
How to make it
- Toast slivered almonds and set aside.
- Melt chocolate with butter in saucepan over very low heat, stirring constantly.
- Beat eggs slightly in medium bowl; add corn syrup and sugar.
- Blend in chocolate mixture.
- Stir in dates and toasted almonds.
- Pour into pie shell.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until filling is completely puffed across top.
- Cool to room temperature and garnish with whipped topping and additional almonds, if desired.
