This one has been around forever. I'm sure we have all had it over the years, but a classic none the less and one I felt compelled to share. I made it last night and it was a treat for our company. I love this delight and now you will too.

Ingredients
  • 1 package lime gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 cup grated American cheese
  • 1 small bottle maraschino cherries cut fine
  • 1/2 cup pecans

Directions
  1. Add enough water to the pineapple and sugar to make 2 cups.
  2. Heat then dissolve gelatin in mixture and allow cooling until partially set.
  3. Whip the cream and fold in the grated cheese.
  4. Add to the cold gelatin then fold in cherries and nuts.
  5. Chil until set.
