Bacon Crossover Baked Onions Recipe

Very easy, very tasty. Great side with grilled meats.

Ingredients
- 8 mild white onions 2-1/2 to 3 inches in diameter
- 8 strips bacon, cut in half
- 8 (1/2-inch) cubes of butter
- Seasoning salt (Lawry's, Cajun, or your choice)
Directions
- Peel onions and remove centers with corer
- Fill centers with a cube of butter
- Criss-cross 2 pices of bacon around each onion
- Secure with a toothpick
- Place in a buttered casserole dish
- Sprinkle with seasoning salt
- Cover tightly with aluminum foil
- Bake at 375 degrees for 1-1/2 hours
- Can remove bacon before serving
