How to make it

  • Place salmon fillet on sheet of aluminum foil, make sure foil is big enough to crinkle over salmon until almost meets in the middle. Take one lemon, slice in half down the middle. Squeze juice of one half over the fillet and slice other half in 1/4 inch slices, set slices aside. Sprinkle lemon pepper evenly over the fillet, as well as much sea salt and pepper you prefer. I generally dont use much, probably about 1/4 tsp, as the salmon itself has such good flavor. Take bits of the butter and place all over the salmon, then place slices neatly over the top of the salmon fillet. Fold aluminum foil over the salmon but do not seal shut. Bake 25-35 minutesat 375F, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  • If cooking on a BBQ, make sure you rake your coals to the outer edges of your BBQ and place the foil in the center of the grill, so that the heat is not directly under your fish.

Aha! Thank you SO much!! Baking salmon worries me so much! Too long and it becomes dry, too little and it isn't quite right! Thank you again for getting back to me so quickly! :D
Btw... I prepared this tonight (I Googled "Salmon baked per pound" or something like that) and came up with 15 minutes/pound @ 325.
That didn't quite cut it. So, I gave it an extra ten minutes or so and it was perfect!
Your overall recipe was a HUGE hit! Thank you! :)
