How to make it

  • In sauce pan, cook 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, cornstarch over medium heat until thick
  • Add jello and red food coloring to desired color
  • Let mixture cool
  • Cap strawberries and toss into mixture
  • Pour into baked pastry shell
  • Refrigerate
  • Top with whipped cream just before serving
