Great dessert made with fresh strawberries. Top with whipped cream.

Ingredients
  • 1 pastry shell, baked
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2-1/2 tablespoons dry *strawberry jello*
  • a little red food coloring if desired
  • 1 quart *fresh strawberries*
  • Whipped cream

Directions
  1. In sauce pan, cook 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, cornstarch over medium heat until thick
  2. Add jello and red food coloring to desired color
  3. Let mixture cool
  4. Cap strawberries and toss into mixture
  5. Pour into baked pastry shell
  6. Refrigerate
  7. Top with whipped cream just before serving
