Chocolate Orange Macadamia Nut Cookies Recipe

	Peetabear / All my dishes 1 year, 8 months ago This is another of my husbands favorite..he take them to work with him... along with the chocolate chunk cookies... you can use other nuts if you want... the recipe is from gifts from the kitchen..the prep time does not include the chilling time of 2 hours... Ingredients

3/4 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar ( I use light brown )

1 egg

1 TBSP. finely grated orange zest

3/4 teasp. vanilla

1/4 teasp. orange extract

1 1/3 cups flour

1/2 cup quick-cooking oats

3/4 teasp. baking powder

1/2 teasp. baking soda

1 jar ( 3.5 ounces) lightly salted macadamia nuts, coursely chopped

1 cup white chocolate chunks or morsels

Directions

In a mixer bowl beat butter at medium speed for 2 minutes or until creamy

gradually add sugars, beating well

add egg, orange zest, vanilla and orange extract.. mix well

combine flour, oats, baking powder, and baking soda mix

add to butter mixture, beating at low speed just until blended

stir in nuts and white chocolate chunks

cover and chill dough for 2 hours

drop dough by rounded Tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheets

bake in a preheated 350'F for 9 - 10 minutes or just until the edges are golden brown

cool 1 minute on baking sheets then put on a wire rack to cool completely....
