German Potato Salad

- 5 bacon strips shopping list
- ¾ cup chopped onion shopping list
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour shopping list
- 2/3 cup cider vinegar shopping list
- 1-1/3 cups water shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/8 tsp pepper shopping list
- 6 cups sliced cooked peeled potatoes shopping list
How to make it
- In a large skillet, fry bacon until crisp. Remove and set aside. Drain all but 2-3 Tbsp of drippings, add onion and cook until tender. Stir in flour blending well. Add vinegar and water. Cook and stir until bubbly and makes a gravy. Crumble bacon and stir into gravy. Then add potatoes, stirring lightly to coat potato slices. Heat thoroughly. Serve warm.
