From silverqueen 16 years agoIngredients
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour shopping list
- 2 tsp. garlic powder shopping list
- 1 tsp. paprika shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. pepper shopping list
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten shopping list
- 2 cups crushed French's fried onions, crushed shopping list
- cooking spray shopping list
- 1/3 cup hot pepper sauce, plus 1 tsp. (such as Tabasco) shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 Tbsp. butter shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 400*F.
- Combine first 6 ingredients in a shallow dish, stirring with a whisk.
- Place eggs in a shallow dish.
- Place crushed onions in a shallow dish.
- Working with 1 fish strip at a time, dredge in flour mixture.
- Dip in eggs, dredge in onions.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with nonstick foil.
- Repeat with remaining fish strips.
- Lightly coat the fish with cooking spray
- Bake for 10 minutes or until done, turning once
- Combine hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce in a small saucepan, bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and stir in butter until melted.
- I use just a bit of this sauce to drizzle over the fish. Then use the rest of it as a dipping sauce. If you do not like a hot sauce you can use a seafood dip or ranch dressing.
