Banana Nut Bread

This recipe is the one my Nanny used to make. Very moist, light on the sugar & delicious. I have made other Banana Bread recipes and while some of them have been really good this is the one I always come back to.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons of shortning or butter shopping list
- 1 cup mashed bananas [approx. 3] shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/2 cup nuts shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons sour milk shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
How to make it
- Beat together shortning, sugar, bananas,eggs & sour milk
- In separate bowl combine dry ingredients
- Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir just enough to blend
- Pour into greased bread pan
- Bake @350 degrees for 1 hour .
