Banana Nut Bread Recipe

	Gardener61 / All my dishes 1 year, 8 months ago This recipe is the one my Nanny used to make. Very moist, light on the sugar & delicious. I have made other Banana Bread recipes and while some of them have been really good this is the one I always come back to. Prep:20m Cook:60m Servings:12	Gardener61

Ingredients

1/2 cup sugar

2 Tablespoons of shortning or butter

1 cup mashed bananas [approx. 3]

1 egg

1/2 cup nuts

2 Tablespoons sour milk

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

Beat together shortning, sugar, bananas,eggs & sour milk

In separate bowl combine dry ingredients

Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir just enough to blend

Pour into greased bread pan

Bake @350 degrees for 1 hour .
