Tropical Paradise Scones

- 3 1/4 cups flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 tbsp plus 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 cup coconut flakes shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 1/3 cups(8 ounce package) Heershey's white chips and macadamia nuts shopping list
- 2 cups chilled whipping cream shopping list
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice shopping list
- 2 to 3 tsp freshly grated lime peel shopping list
- 2 tbsp shopping list
- butter, melted shopping list
- Crystal sugar or regular white sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 375*. Lightly grease cookie sheet.
- Stir together flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl.
- Stir in coconut and white chips and macadamia nuts.
- Stir whipping cream, lime juice and lime peel into flour mixture, stirring just until ingredients are moistened.
- Turn mixture out onto lightly floured surface.
- Knead gently until dough forms(wbout 2 minutes).
- Divide dough into three equal balls.
- One ball at a time, flatten into 7-inch circle; cut into 8 triangles.
- Transfer triangles to prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Brush with melted butter and sprinklw with additional sugar.
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Serve warm or cool.
- I added a half cup of peaches and made large scones.
