Stuffed Burgers

- 1 1/2 cups of sliced onions shopping list
- 8 oz button or cremini mushroom sliced shopping list
- 1 tbsp olive oil shopping list
- 2 tbsp. fresh parsley shopping list
- 2 1/2 lb lean ground beef shopping list
- 1/3 cup worcestersire sauce shopping list
- 4 cloves of garlic minced shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp. black pepper shopping list
- 16 slices of smoked or regular bacon shopping list
- 8 slices of your favorite type of cheese shopping list
- 8 kaiser rolls or hamburger buns split and toasted shopping list
- 8 tomato slices shopping list
How to make it
- 1. In a very large skillet cook onions and mushrooms in hotoil over medium heat 15 to 20 minutes or until liquid has evaporated, and onions and mushrooms asre tender and golden brown stirring occasionally. Remove from heat stir in parsley set aside to cool slightly
- 2. In a very large mixing bowl mix beef, worcestersire sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper until just combined (do not over mix)Shape into 16 (3 1/2 inch-diameter) Patties. spoon filling onto half of patties to 1/2 inch from the edge then add cheese. Top with other pattier and pinch to seal. Lay 2 slices of bacon over each of the stuffed patties in a crisscross pattern. Tucking the ends under
- 3.For charcoal gtrill arrange the preheated coals around a drip pan. Place the patties over the drip pan on the grill rack. Cover and grill 25-30 minutes or until done. (For gas grill, preheat grill. Reduce heat to medium. Adjust for indirect grilling, Grill as above)
- 4. Transfer burgers to a serving platter serve on buns with tomato slices.
