Gingersnaps

- 1/2 cup shortning shopping list
- 1/4 cup soft butter shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/4 cup molasses shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger ( I like alot of ginger so sometimes I add some grated crystallized ginger) shopping list
- 2 teaspoons baking soda shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream shortning butter and sugar, then add egg and molasses. Mix well.
- Sift dry ingredients and stir into batter.
- Shape into small balls and roll in sugar.
- Place on greased or parchment papered cookie sheet.
- Bake 10-12 minutes, being careful no to overbake. Cookies are done when soft, puffy, and crackled looking.
- Cool on rack (but you gotta try at least one fresh out of the oven!).
