This is a great twist on a traditional strawberry cake. It's great and easy to make!

Ingredients
  • For Cake:
  • White Cake Mix
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 small box strawberry jello
  • 1 cup thawed drained strawberries
  • For Frosting:
  • 1 box confectioners sugar
  • 3/4 stick margarine
  • juice from strawberries (to thin icing)
  • 5-6 strawberries

Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients for the cake. I use about 11 or 12 good size strawberries.
  2. Cut the strawberries in small pieces.
  3. Bake in a well greased 9*13 pan for 30-35 minutes.
  4. While the cake is still hot, poke holes in the cake and pour some of the strawberry juice over it.
  5. To mix icing:
  6. Soften margarine in the microwave.
  7. Add to sugar, and mix at medium-high speed with a hand mixer.
  8. Gradually add some of the strawberry juice until you get the right icing consistency.
  9. Mash up about 5 or 6 strawberries and add this to the icing, then mix well.
  10. Ice cake and enjoy!!!
