How to make it

  • Cook the bacon and shallots in a 12 inch skillet over medium heat until bacon is crisp and the shallots are browned
  • Remove to a paper towel lined plate
  • Add the Burssells sprouts, water and 1/2 tsp. salt to the skillet and increase the heat to medium high
  • Cover and simmer until the sprouts are bright green, about 9-10 minutes
  • Uncover and cook until the liquid has evaporated and the sprouts are tender, about 5 minutes longer
  • Remove pan from heat and add the bacon and shallot mixture, butter and vinegar
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste

    I will be making this recipe sidedish for Easter Sunday. I know it will be great. Love the shallots!
