Baked Kefta With Tahini Sauce

- 1 recipe Basic Kefta (See Broiled Lebanese Kefta posted on my recipes) shopping list
- 2 potatoes quartered shopping list
- 2 large onions siivered into thin crescents shopping list
- Tanhini Sauce: shopping list
- 2/3 cup tahini shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic crushed shopping list
- 1 Tsp salt or to taste shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 1 cup lemon juice shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat Oven to 400 degrees
- Form 8 Tapered footballs from Kefta.
- Steam or Blanch quartered potatoes for 5 minutes
- Arrange Kefta, Onions, and Potatoes in a greased baking dish.
- Brown for 20 minutes turning Kefta once.
- Make Tahini Sauce:
- Crush Garlic in Salt. Add to Tahini.
- Slowly stir water into Tahini. It will become pasty and white then thinner. Add Lemon Juice and slowly wisk until smooth.
- Poor Tahini sauce over browned casserole. Bake 20 minutes longer until sauce is thick and bubbly
- Serve Hot with Greek Olives and Arabic Bread
