Baked Kefta With Tahini Sauce Recipe
This is one of my favorite ways to do Kefta. Please see Broiled Lebanese Meat Ball recipe I posted for the Basic Kefta recipe. It is quite easy to make. Hope you enjoy.

Ingredients
  • 1 recipe Basic Kefta (See Broiled Lebanese Kefta posted on my recipes)
  • 2 Potatoes quartered
  • 2 large Onions siivered into thin crescents
  • Tanhini Sauce:
  • 2/3 cup Tahini
  • 2 cloves Garlic crushed
  • 1 Tsp Salt or to taste
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup Lemon Juice

Directions
  1. Preheat Oven to 400 degrees
  2. Form 8 Tapered footballs from Kefta.
  3. Steam or Blanch quartered potatoes for 5 minutes
  4. Arrange Kefta, Onions, and Potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  5. Brown for 20 minutes turning Kefta once.
  6. Make Tahini Sauce:
  7. Crush Garlic in Salt. Add to Tahini.
  8. Slowly stir water into Tahini. It will become pasty and white then thinner. Add Lemon Juice and slowly wisk until smooth.
  9. Poor Tahini sauce over browned casserole. Bake 20 minutes longer until sauce is thick and bubbly
  10. Serve Hot with Greek Olives and Arabic Bread
