Ingredients

1 loaf French Bread

1 can (8-oz.) mushroom stems and pieces, drained

1/4 cup each chopped green pepper, sweet red pepper, ripe olives, white onions and red onions. 2 garlic cloves, minced

3 Tbsp. olive oil, divided

1/2 lb. extra lean ground beef

1/4 lb. bulk sausage

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1 can (8-oz.) tomato sauce

2 Tbsp. minced fresh parsley

4 tsp. Italian seasoning

1/4 tsp. pepper

27 pepperoni slices

2 cups shredded Italian cheese blend

1/4 cup shape Cheddar cheese

Directions

Preheat the oven to 400*F.

In a large skillet, sauté the mushrooms, peppers, olives, onions and garlic in 1 Tbsp. oil until tender, remove and set aside.

In the same skillet cook beef and sausage over medium heat until no longer pink, drain.

Cut the French bread in half lengthwise

In a small bowl combine the tomato sauce, parsley, Italian seasoning and pepper, spread over each half of the bread.

Top with the vegetables, meat mixture and pepperoni.

Sprinkle with cheeses.

Bake for 20 minutes or until cheeses has melted.

Cut each half of French bread in 4 pieces

Great post! I love french bread pizza! When I was younger my mom and I used to do it all the time. We always used a jar sauce, but always loaded it with stuff!
