Steak Rolls

- 2 lbs top round or strip steak shopping list
- 1 cp fine bread crumbs shopping list
- 2 tsp basil shopping list
- 1 cp fresh parsley chopped shopping list
- 1 tbs finely chopped garlic shopping list
- 1/2 cp finely chopped yellow onion shopping list
- 1 cp parmesean cheese shopping list
- 1 tsp oregano shopping list
- 1/2 cp shredded carrot shopping list
- 1/2 cp finely chopped celery shopping list
- 8 slices thick bacon shopping list
- 1 can diced tomatoes with juice (can use theones that contain chilis for a great taste) shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- olive oil for frying shopping list
How to make it
- cut each steak into four equal pieces
- pound with mallet until very thin
- sprinkle with salt and pepper
- combine all dry ingredients
- add tomatoes and mix well
- let sit a few minutes so juices are absorbed
- Place 1/2 cup of bread mixture in center of each steak piece.
- roll up tucking in ends.
- wrap each roll in one strip of bacon and secure with tooth picks
- Gently brown in olive oil
- Place in casserole dish cover and bake in a 325 oven for about 1 1/2 hr or untill every thing is tender and juicy. Serve with steemed rice and fresh broccoli. Yummy!
