How to make it

  • MIX FLOUR, FRUIT, GINGER AND BICARBONATE OF SODA IN A BOWL.
  • PUT THE SUGAR, SYRUP AND BUTTER IN A PAN ON THE STOVE AND DISSOLVE GENTLY.
  • MAKE A WELL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FLOUR MIXTURE AND STIR IN THE SYRUP MIXTURE UNTIL THE FLOUR IS MIXED INTO A THICK BATTER.
  • THEB POUR IN AND MIX UP 1 BEATEN EGG.
  • WHEN WELL MIXED SPOON INTO A WELL GREASED TIN AND ALLOW TO COOK FOR 1 HOUR AT GAS MARK 6.
