Aunt Jennies Easy Pecan Pie Recipe

Ingredients

2/3 C milk

3-4 slices of soft white bread -torn into small pieces-no crust

2 eggs -well beaten

1 C brown sugar

1 C graulated sugar

3 TBS melted butter or oleo

1 C chopped pecans

Directions

Put bread chunks in bowl with the milk--fold till milk is absorbed

beat in sugars , beaten eggs , and butter.

pour into unbaked pie shell--{i use a frozen pie shell}

sprinkle chopped pecans all over the top

bake @ 350' for 35-40 mins untill pie is set.

My mom and i have done a little research on this recipe and as far as we can tell , it goes back to about the mid 1800's it came from my great aunt and it came from her mother --possibly her grand mother..its been a longgggg time since pecans were a nickel lol!
