This recipe is sooo old that the original called a for a ''nickels worth of pecans'' !!! and no sticky syrup to deal with!

My mother-in-law loves pecan pie. I'll have to try this sometime for a holiday meal. Looks easier than most pecan pie recipes!

My mom and i have done a little research on this recipe and as far as we can tell , it goes back to about the mid 1800's it came from my great aunt and it came from her mother --possibly her grand mother..its been a longgggg time since pecans were a nickel lol!
