Easy recipe from a coworker. Crescent dough makes it simple. Great use for leftover chicken and gravy.

Ingredients
  • 3 ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 Tbsp butter, softened
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, cubed
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • 1 Tbsp finely chopped onion
  • 8 ounce can regular refrigerated crescent rolls (8 crescents)
  • 1 Tbsp melted butter
  • 3/4 cup crushed seasoned croutons
  • Leftover chicken gravy (or from a jar)

Directions
  1. Blend together cream cheese and softened butter in a medium sized bowl.
  2. Mix in chicken, salt, pepper, milk and onion.
  3. If you wish, refrigerate until you are ready to bake later or tomorrow.
  4. Separate crescent rolls into 4 rectangles, sealing perforations by pressing with your fingers or a small roller.
  5. Divide chicken mixture into 4 portions, and spoon onto the center of rectangles.
  6. Pull the four corners up to meet at the top center of chicken mixture, twisting slightly and sealing edges.
  7. Brush the tops with the melted butter and dip in crouton crumbs.
  8. Bake in preheated 350 oven 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Heat gravy and serve over chicken squares.
