Chicken Squares

- 3 ounce package cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 2 Tbsp butter, softened shopping list
- 2 cups cooked chicken, cubed shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp pepper shopping list
- 2 Tbsp milk shopping list
- 1 Tbsp finely chopped onion shopping list
- 8 ounce can regular refrigerated crescent rolls (8 crescents) shopping list
- 1 Tbsp melted butter shopping list
- 3/4 cup crushed seasoned croutons shopping list
- Leftover chicken gravy (or from a jar) shopping list
How to make it
- Blend together cream cheese and softened butter in a medium sized bowl.
- Mix in chicken, salt, pepper, milk and onion.
- If you wish, refrigerate until you are ready to bake later or tomorrow.
- Separate crescent rolls into 4 rectangles, sealing perforations by pressing with your fingers or a small roller.
- Divide chicken mixture into 4 portions, and spoon onto the center of rectangles.
- Pull the four corners up to meet at the top center of chicken mixture, twisting slightly and sealing edges.
- Brush the tops with the melted butter and dip in crouton crumbs.
- Bake in preheated 350 oven 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Heat gravy and serve over chicken squares.
