How to make it

  • Preheat oven on 325F.
  • In a large bowl, cream shortening, sugar and egg.
  • In another bowl, combine all dry ingredients and mix well.
  • Add dry mixture to creamed mixture,alternating with milk.
  • Fill greased muffin pan half full.
  • Bake for 25 minutes.
  • Let muffins cool for 3 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, combine 1/2 cup sugar and 1 Tblesp. cinnamon in small bowl.
  • Roll or brush muffins with 1/2 cup melted butter, then roll in sugar mixture.
