White Chocolate Pie With Fresh Strawberries

An easy, scrumptious pie topped with fresh strawberries! So wonderful for spring and summer. Found the recipe in Bon Appetit, and I adjusted it.
Ingredients
- Favorite cooked pie shell shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups whipping cream shopping list
- 8 ounces white chocolate, chopped (such as Lindt or Baker's) shopping list
- 12 ounces cream cheese, room temperature shopping list
- 3 tablespoons sugar shopping list
- FIVE teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- Fresh lightly sweetend strawberries shopping list
How to make it
- In heavy saucepan, bring 1/2 cup whipping cream to a boil
- Remove from heat
- Add chopped white chocolate
- Stir until melted and smooth
- Cool mixture to room temperature
- With electric mixer, in large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth
- Gradually add white chocolate mixture to cream cheese mixture
- Beat until well blended
- In medium bowl, beat remaining 3/4 cup whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla until medium firm peaks form
- Fold into cream cheese mixture in 2 additions
- Place filling in prepared crust
- Chill at least 2 hours
- To serve: top with fresh lightly sweetened strawberries
