How to make it

  • Preheat ovento 375F
  • Prepare a casserole dish with a light coat of veg oil
  • Place a layer of potatoes in the bottom of the dish
  • Sprinkle with some onion
  • Sprinkle with flour, salt, pepper
  • Dot with butter
  • Repeat until all ingredients are used, ending with butter
  • Pour hot milk carefully over all
  • Top with paprika
  • Bake covered for 45 min
  • Uncoverand bake a further 15 minutes
  • You can add cooked, crumbled bacon or sliced/cubed/shredded ham in the layersfo make a main dish
  • You can double/triple/quadruple the recipe to increase serving portions
