Turquoise Meat Pie Recipe
This is another that is in our local cookbook. I like this but I have to try to stay away from pork because of my blood pressure.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 lbs. lean boneless pork, ground
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • cinnamon, to taste
  • cloves, to taste
  • 2 pie shells

Directions
  1. Brown pork with onion until pork is well cooked.
  2. Add salt ,pepper, cinnamon and cloves, to taste. Simmer about 15 minutes.
  3. If meat is too wet after cooking, add some dry bread crumbs.
  4. Pour mixture into pie shell.
  5. Top with another pie shell.
  6. Bake at 350 in preheated oven until crust is golden brown.
