Orange-Glazed Beets

Stouffer's used to have these in the freezer section at the store back in Maryland in the 70's. If you're old enough to remember them, this recipe is identical! Great for holidays like Christmas and Easter with ham. Read more Also, they look like beautiful ruby gems on the table. See less
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter shopping list
- 1/4 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch shopping list
- 2/3 cup orange juice shopping list
- salt and pepper, to taste shopping list
- 1 16 ounch can beets, sliced shopping list
How to make it
- Melt butter. Mix sugar and cornstarch and blend into butter. Stir in o.j. and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Add salt and pepper and beets. Cook unti beets are heated through. Sprinkle with grated orange rind.
