Cheesed Tortilla Strips Recipe

How to make it

  • Cut the tortilla strips while the oil is heating to 375 F.degrees in fryer.
  • then fry a small batch at a time in the fryer basket until the bubbles subside and the strips are crisp and golden in color.
  • quickly drain each batch on paper towels, place on cookie sheet sprinkle with the cheese while strips are still hot.
  • when all are fried, place in oven 350 degrees F. for 10 to 15 minutes to melt cheese.
  • if these are prepared in advanced they should be warmed prior to serving, they taste better warmed.
