Some people prefer cool-whip to real whipped cream. OK. You might as well make it yourself. (Though this has milk in it and cool whip is nondairy)

Ingredients
  • 1 c instant nonfat dry milk
  • 1 c ice water
  • 1/4 c lemon juice
  • 1/2 c sugar

Directions
  1. Chill bowl and beaters.
  2. Whip dry milk with water until soft peaks form, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add lemon juice and beat until stiff, about 4 minutes.
  4. Fold in sugar.

You can substitute fruit juice or tea for the water. Remember that it won't be white this way.
