crockpot pepper steak

- 2 lbs top round, as for london broil, cut into 2 inch strips shopping list
- garlic powder to taste shopping list
- 3tbs vegetable oil shopping list
- 1 teaspoon or cube beef boullion shopping list
- 1/4 cup hot water shopping list
- 1 tbs cornstarch shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 2 large green bell peppers, roughly chopped shopping list
- 1(14.5oz) can stewed tomatoes, with liquid shopping list
- 3tbs soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tsp sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp salt(optional) shopping list
- 1 10 oz pkg sliced baby bella mushrooms...this is my addition..great..if i say so myself..lol shopping list
How to make it
- sprinkle stips of sirloin with garlic powder to taste, i also sprinkled pepper on them
- in a large skillet over med heat, heat the vegetable oil and brown the seasoned beef strips
- transfer to slow cooker..i recommend using reynolds slow cooker liners..almost no cleanup
- mix boullion with hot water until dissolved, then mix in cornstarch until dissolved
- pour into slow cooker with meat
- stir in onion, green peppers, stewed tomatoes, soy sauce, sugar and salt
- cover, and cook on high for 3-4 hours, or on low for 6-8 hours
- our schedules are odd, so often, i start things on low for a few hours, then on warm and back and forth for almost a day til we can get together to eat...this is sooooo good...i'm picky and don't eat a lot...i love this...recipe didn't say, but i serve over rice..i imagine noodles or any starch would be great...thanks for reading let me know...
