How to make it

  • In a 2-quart glass bowl, mix together sugar, cornstarch and salt until well blended. Gradually whisk in milk until cornstarch is completely dissolved. Add chocolate.
  • Cook in a microwave oven on high power 7 to 9 minutes, whisking every 2 minutes until mixture is cooked through, smooth and thickened.
  • Whisk in vanilla.
  • Pour into 4 individual serving dishes.
  • Cover with plastic wrap to prevent a skin from forming on top.
  • **Refrigerate until cold.**
  • Garnish with whipped cream and strawberry or cookie!

    Great recipe! I make many of my puddings and cream fillings for pies in the microwave! So much easier and faster! :)
