Ingredients
  • 2 Cups Brown Sugar
  • 2 Cups HOT WATER
  • 4 tablespoons LARD
  • 1 package raisins
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons cloves
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda dissolved in l teaspoon luke warm water
  • 3 Cups flour

Directions
  1. In saucepan boil firrst seven ingredients for five minutes.
  2. Let cool
  3. Add dissolved baking soda
  4. Then add Flour
  5. Pour into ungreased 9x13 " pan
  6. Bake at 300 degree oven
  7. 1 and 1/4 Hours
