These are a favorite at our house, to me they are kind of a cross between a sloppy joe, made-right, and this cheese thing my mom used to make us as a child she called a "comikazi":

Ingredients
  • 1 cup onions
  • 1 cup carrots
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1-1/2 Lbs. ground beef
  • 1/2 Cup ketchup
  • 1/4 Cup mustard
  • 1/3 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/2-1 Cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • 4 Hamburger buns
  • fresh cracked pepper (to taste)

Directions
  1. Grate together onion, carrot and garlic.
  2. If you have a food processor, pulse until finely chopped.
  3. Set aside.
  4. In a large skillet, brown ground beef. Drain if desired.
  5. Add in grated veggie mix, and let cook until it all kind of looks like beef.(about 10 min.)
  6. Then mix in ketchup, mustard and Mayo until well blended.
  7. Stir in Cheese if desired, pepper to taste, and serve in hamburger buns.
  8. We usually eat these with plain flavored ruffled chips to scoop up all the yummy spill over!
